Our poster will resemble the design in the bottom left of our design sheet. We chose this as it links with the research with our newspaper posters, but gives our individual local outlook with the boat and the area we will use, Whitley Bay. We decided to go with the posters that advertise the newspaper rather than the story as we feel they clearly look the best but also ensure the paper with publicity. This is identified with the sell lines by the papers using slogans to engage the reader, making them think about the slogan and the link with the surroundings of image and text. As a result we chose to use a local landmark that would therefore receive instant recognition and again engage the reader. We chose to create a paper boat as it links with the research of the ‘Shropshire Star’ poster. Also we will be creating a sell line that will link with the surroundings in the local area but also be ‘catchy’ and link with the paper. Therefore to create this poster, we will print out our own newspaper and fold to create the boat shape, photograph and transfer to our own image of the lighthouse.
